First off let me say, “I’m sorry!”

I know I built up all this hype to provide you guys with fresh content and useful tips… and then I disappear.

Well I wont bog you down with excuses, but I will tell you what I’ve been up to, which will lead to my next post.

For the last several months I have taken on a marketing client promoting Fortune 1000 clients at street level.

What that means is that we have been doing “real world” marketing to the tune of $7k-$10k per week in gross revenue in my clients direction, and they pay me a percentage of that volume.

Now, you may say, “how can this ‘real world’ marketing stuff benefit me?”

50 Web Sites for Getting Free Publicity for Your Business

There’s no doubt about it Micro Business Moguls, you just cant beat Free Publicity with a stick! Here’s a great list of resources to help you send out your press releases, get massive traffic, and some sales to boot!

My first recommendation is that you sign up for a free account at PRWeb.com - even though the account is free, their services range from $200 - $500 on average for distribution, but, I don’t want you to pay for anything there until you KNOW you can reap an ROI through their service.

I simply want you to be a spy… look up the releases in your business category, and look at the releases on the front page. Some of those releases cost up to $1,000, but they are usually professionally done and are great templates for your releases.

Also, for the sake of full disclosure, you will help me and my family out because I make 10 bucks for every free account I send their way, but it still won’t cost you a dime or any credit card info.

The other key thing to point out here is that the free sites tend to have less professional (and a bit more spammy reading) releases in their database. The paid nature of PRWeb.com ensures that the majority of releases will be top quality, and the traditional media LOVES PRWeb!

After your research is done head over to these sites and post away. You will have to register for some of these services, and some also have paid upgrade options for certain ad-on services.

Now more than ever, it’s time for us to realize the power and promise in micro business development as a step towards financial independence and stability.

I find myself increasingly intrigued lately at all the 5 figure lay-offs and the 7 Figure decreases in national spending. Everyone seems to be forgetting that It actually might be a good thing for the “big boys” to have to “trim the fat”

Long before any of the current “doom” began, Americans figured out that they didn’t want to be at the mercy of their employers anymore following the pension and retirement fund scandals of the ’90’s and early ’00’s.

Nothing strengthens the resolve of a citizenry more than the overthrow of tyranny (circa Boston Tea Party). It’s just that this time it’s in the form of Corporate oppression fueled by government incompetence.

Hopefully though, we’ve learned our lessons from FDR & WWII when we decided to exchange the bondage of industrial age provision for government hand outs that confiscated both gold and liberty.

To quote Dawn Rivers Baker in her MBNB Post: Ferreting Out The Facts About Nonemployers yesterday:

“The bottom line here is that there are simply too many nonemployer businesses (77% of all U.S. firms back in 2005) and simply too many people involved in starting and running them (29.4 million, roughly 13% of the adult population) to make sense of the notion that they don’t matter to the overall economy. At the same time, there are too many unanswered questions about nonemployers for either researchers or policy makers to assess how they matter, what their contributions are and how they fit into the big picture. Clearly, more research is needed. Possibly more to the point, lawmakers need more information about this segment of the economy. It, too, is “too big to fail.””

It’s probably one of those things so simple to see that it’s complicated to the naked eye.

Your Micro Business, Homebased Business, & Internet based Business Start-Up, Growth, & Development Coach.

My Dear Micro Business Friend,

After much searching, pondering, and prayer - I have reached a place of conclusion… epiphany if you will.

The issue is that there are so many voices out there, and all of them want your time, attention, and most important to them… your money. I have come across 10 different ways to do everything from Search engine optimization to list building, and blogging. The truth is, that it can not only be expensive, but also confusing to get to the root of what you need to know to get started in any key area necessary to launching your company on the internet.

And… to boot, the “gurus” all disagree at some point on all of their “must do’s” and “must haves”.

So, my final position on the matter is that you can’t be all things to all people, you can’t afford every new “secret method” that comes along, and you can’t know and implement everything. You can however, do your best to learn what you need to, for whatever task is at hand.
